Couple into tall poles with a Rowland Ring

Here's another case where instead of carrying a big antenna you find a metal pole and try to couple in to it.
A Rowland Ring is one way you can couple into it without making direct electrical contact. It's a curved coil of
wire wrapped around the desired radiating element. A series variable capacitor tunes out reactance.
Experiments were done in the 1960s using them to load up trees in the Vietnamese jungle.

Unlike my loading up of a light pole I can't yet claim huge amounts of success with this technique.
Hence these videos are presented for the curious to take the idea further. PE4BAS blog has a write-up
